I registered here when I moved to the area due to the great reviews compared to other GP surgeries in the area. As I have asthma I need frequent repeat prescriptions, which are often not given, or even refused (despite being due). Also, it is impossible to get an appointment with the GP, so much so that I have been seen twice in the walk in clinic in Leigh this year, instead of by my GP. I don’t know which of the registered patients were asked to complete the patient survey but the results in no way reflect my own experiences.

Having recently registered at the surgery I had my first appointment . The doctor and reception staff were a breath of fresh air. I telephoned for an appointment thinking I would be waiting till after Christmas, they offered me one two days later. Thoroughly pleased with both the service and professionalism.

I have been attempting to get an appointment with Dr. Kumar who requested I see him the end of September. I saw the other doctor because I couldn't get an appointment with Dr. Kumar who said to make the appointment with Dr. Kumar himself. I couldn't get an appointment either pre booked or on the day. I have no way of knowing when Dr. Kumar will be practicising any particular day. I rang yet again on the 26th September to hear a message from the surgery that they were closed for the bank holiday. I was not aware that the 26th September was a bank holiday. Just what do you have to do to get an appointment with Dr. Kumar. I do have incurable cancer although it is under control at present but it doesn't make life any better due to this situation.
