I have been a patient of this practice for a number of years. Without exception I have always received excellent advice and treatment from all of the staff and Doctor. I have been made to feel that any medical concerns I may have are listened to with care and attention and any further treatment is readily arranged. Having registered with a number of Doctors in my life when moving area, I can say that this practice more so than others truly knows the meaning of a Family Practice.

Just to say that I REQUESTED A visit to see my GP at this practice on Monday 16th July 2018. I was given an appointment that same day at 5.40 pm. The doctor was her usual courteous self even towards the end of another long day....always smiling and genuinely interested in me.

Many Thanks for your kind comments - and guess what ... the time is now 1920 on that same Monday evening (16th July 2018) and the GP is still working hard at the surgery.... We are all lucky to have her as our Principal GP. Paul Bridgeman, Practice Manager

Have been with the practice for many Years Practice nurse is Very helpful and very professional and goes beyond what she has to do, With advice and help at times in a difficult area, During the last 9 months my wife has had lots of medical problems and was referred straight away to specialists ,ongoing Via a doctor. Reception staff are always very polite and helpful and will try to help as much as they can. However it is sometimes difficult to get appointments after work ie 8.00am to 6.00pm although there are late nights it does not leave much time and no surgery Wednesday afternoon. However all staff are very helpful at all times and will do there utmost to help as much as they can,

Thank you for your kind comments. We have been offering appointments on our late night (Tuesday) until 8pm for some time and these are very popular. However, if you need an appointment on any other weekday night there are also appointments available through the Wigan GP Alliance HUB Tel 482848. These appointments are offered at various locations through the local area until 2000 as well as weekends (1000-1530). Weekdays, (including Wednesdays) for “Acute” conditions we also now offer access to the SWAN (South Wigan and North Ashton(SWAN)) Cluster HUB by calling our surgery (this service is brand new to Winstanley and was launched at our patient engagement event on 5th July 18). These appointments will be at Chandler House during the day. I hope this helps you to access services. Paul Bridgeman, Practice Manager.
