Almost impossible to get through on the telephone and when you eventually do you are ‘greeted’ (I use the word loosely) by a grumpy receptionist that really couldn’t care less!
I’ve only seen one doctor and he was severely lacking in empathy. He really could not be bothered listening to me and made me feel like I was wasting his time!
I would rather be sick than have to use this awful place again! |

Can never get an appoint unless you call on the day. Had reception staff hangup the phone on me when trying to book an appoint.
Doctor was extremely unprofessional, and i was made to feel like my illness was my own fault (was told to report it but, the person who deals with reports was the one that caused the problem to begin with)
Never going back there, i now travel into Ashton-u-lyne (manchester) to be seen by my old GP surgery. |

Our family just moved to the area and the clinic is our first choice but have some doubt. Just after one day of we arrived to our new house we needed to pay a visit to Royal Bolton Hospital for 3 days as our 6 years old son have hives all over the body including the face. The Hospital suggested us to book an appointment with GP for seek further help but we did not had time to register with any GP in the area. As you can see my English is not very good so we have concerned how to register GP in short time but had to tried.
Well the clinic took my son straight away into the system so we could made an appointment next day. Met 2 doctors I do not know how to thank them and I do not have enough words. They both care very much to my son. They took time no matter what to answer all questions and concerned. They both requested for blood test and skin allergy test for my son. My son still have hives but one of the medicine which the doctor gave help a lot at night.
Both Doctors we met are very kind and treat my son as their own. We like the doctors very much despite the clinic is 3.1 miles from our home. Thank you very much for your kind treatments.
However I think the staffs at reception are required some more training. Because when we have a letter from doctor to took a blood test for my son who is 6 years old, we had to go to reception for further instruction. One lady gave a small paper which include 4/5 clinic name and phone numbers which we had to visit one of them for my son blood test. In the paper it state under 12 we need to call number but we were so worried and did not have time to read so we had to run one place which the reception lady told us to go. Took as some time to get there but we were told that we had to call the number for my son as he is under 12. If the receptionist took some time to explain us, it will be a lot easier. The paper should have some post codes to find the clinic very easy. It's just a small things but it will be much better if those small things are taking into account. |
