I have been extremely concerned by the care and treatment I have received at Mossley Medical Practice.I have always been treated with the greatest of compassion which is extremely important for me as I started to suffer from Mental Health issues recently and initially felt a scorching level of shame and embarrassment at asking for help.The doctors I have seen allayed my fears,gave me full and accurate information and did all they could to help me.I sometimes think it is the greatest of shames that peoples' hard work,their dedication,professionalism and compassion are not acknowledged.I would like to extend my sincere thanks to all staff at the Mossley Medical Practice.

Have just been told after trying to get through to the surgery this morning for over an hour from 08:30 to 09:30 engaged all the time, then it rang out for over two minutes before being answered that I have to wait 10 days for an appointment, to see a doctor, Patients need to be psychic now to know when they are going to be ill, so that they can get an appointment in 48 hours time, which is the NHS guideline. This used to be an excellent surgery but over the last dew years its deterioted, when you go in the surgery there are hardly any patients waiting, the most I have seen at once is 5, yet you can't get an appointment... some doctors take ages between seeing patients.

I am leaving this practise for the following reasons: Long wait for appointments Long wait for phone to be answered Lack of stability with GPs Poor attitude from some GPs- feeling rushed, not listened too and patronised Majority of reception staff seem overworked which often means they come across as rude, uncaring and unhelpful. All in all poor service all round so will be leaving

We are very sorry to hear your are not happy with the Practice and wish to register elsewhere. At busy periods over the winter our next routine appointment can be over one week (although we do sometimes get cancellations). However, we do have urgent appointments available every day and also the option to book with our Practice Pharmacist if appropriate or if you feel you need to be seen earlier than one week. We also have telephone consultations available if you feel your issue is something that can be discussed with the GP or pharmacist over the phone. We have three GPs currently who have been with the Practice for several years. On occasions where we have to use Locum cover we use the same Locum when possible to ensure consistency. However, if you have experienced a problem in any way please do not hesitate to speak to the Practice Manager. We value both positive and negative feedback from patients so that we are aware of any issues and can ensure we know where we may need to improve our service.
