Unfortunately this practice has significantly lost its way. There a number of big issues this practice needs to look at and urgently. - Appointments with a doctor are taking on average 2-3 weeks, unless you call on the day to make emergency appointment. My Asthma review was nearly 3 months! - Unable to see the same doctor rather due to issues with appointment or regularly changing the doctors. - I recently saw one of the temporary doctors. He seemed to know very little about a previous condition and I was asked what he would like him to do!? In addition, I was asked which anti- bionics I would like! In addition, my family have had issues with this doctor which has recently come to light which I cant go into on here, however I can assure you shows very bad patient care and poor management. One thing I will say, is the practice has very good nurses. Always willing to take time to explain things. However, big failings on the doctors side.

We are a four partner practice and one of the partners has been on long term sick leave for over 12 months. During this time we have had to use locum doctors ,we have consistently use the same three doctors for this time and not different ones. I apologise that you feel we have lost our way .We always have 30plus appointments to be booked on the day if you need a on the day appointment. Like most large organisations we do have staff sickness which always has a negative for appointments ,one of the nurses has been off for 3 months but we have ran longer clinics and sessions at weekends to accommodate patients for reviews. This comment will be brought to the clinical meeting and will be discussed in full. Would you also like to contact the surgery to discuss further with the practice manager as I see your details have been omitted .Kind Regards Linda Practice Manager

I used to be really satisfied with the service but over the last few months things have changed. Every time I try to make an appointment I have to see a different doctor. I know all the information is available for them but I don't think it helps patient doctor relationships as what is written down is not the whole ptctutre. Looking at someone is far more important for the whole ptctutre. I was sent to ICC for an x-ray and on entering the x-ray room I was told that they didn't x-ray ribs! Surely the doctor should have known this?

I am sorry you feel that you are not able to see a doctor of your choice, when you make a appointment the receptionist will tell the patient who the appointment is with and you can always ask to change. We have had a partner on long term sick so have had to employ locum doctors to cover sessions and they are not always aware of what local services offer. If you would like to discuss this in more detail then please co0ntact the practice manager Regards
