I was personally insulted by staff twice The past two consecutive years I have given blood for HBA1c I have had to have the test done twice because paper work was incorrectly filled out. I can never get an appointment when I need one My repeat prescription was changed without my knowledge.

I've relied on GP services around Greater Manchester for several years now and have never come across a practice that is so easy to access, well run and efficient. The staff are great, the doctors listen to you and involve you in the medical decisions. They are truly a standout practice and should be very proud of the job they do.

I recently went to register with this practice, as I had just moved to the area. I asked the lady at reception to kindly change my name, as I was with my marriage certificate and completed the all the forms for registration (as my old GP practice was still in my Maiden name). She was unfriendly, and advised that I return to my previous GP Practice to change it there. Then I proceeded to request that my family members be registered, while I sort mine out. She refused my request, stating that it was best to register my whole family for administration, this put me under tremendous pressure, as moving to a new house is stressful in itself, and I wondered if this would still be my dilemma, if I had moved from Exeter. This was unfair and heart breaking to be treated like this. No one should be treated like this. This eventually caused a lot of distress for me, as a few days later I had to rush from work to school to pick up my child who was poorly, and rush to my previous GP to sort the “change of name”, just so that I could return to this practice to get my child seen. I was very upset afterwards, when I was told by a different lady (who was kind and warm) at Reception that I did not need to return to my previous GP practice to “change my name”, that they would have sorted it out here for me, by including my (maiden name to the form, for ease of administration/registration. I hope they do not treat someone else like this.

I am sorry to hear of the treatment you received when trying to register at this practice. This is an administration learning point which I will share with the reception staff in order that this does not occur in the future. If you would like to discuss this personally with myself, please contact the practice and make an appointment to see me, Christine Connolly, Practice Manager
