Reception staff are wonderful, Michelle is my favourite. Used to work in a GP surgery and I know its a difficult job when you take the brunt of unhappy patients. My experience with Vicky Wilson the practice nurse has been exceptional. She is so caring, puts you at ease and has a great sense of humour. Makes talking to her so easy. All the GPs I've seen, especially Dr Hayward have been very supportive, I've had a bad time lately and have been so lucky to have so much support from everyone at Kings Lane Big thanks to all the fabulous staff

I rang the Kings Lane Medical Practice last week due to pain I was experiencing as well as increased pain and swelling due to my arthritis. I received a quick response from the reception staff and an appointment that morning. I did not have to wait long to be called into the consultation room and I was seen by a junior doctor. The junior doctor was attentive and asked me questions related to the pain I was experiencing as well as my arthritis. He involved me in the consultation asking my opinion about whether I thought the pain I was experiencing was related to my arthritis or something else. The doctor explained everything and examined me. He was very reassuring and gave me advice which I found helpful. At the end of the consultation I asked for a prescription of my anti-inflammatories (Naproxen) and I was given the same dose I am usually prescribed (500 mg). It was automatically sent across to the "in house" Pharmacy and when I went over to query how long I would need to wait for the prescription they advised they had been out of the 500 mg Naproxen medication for a month and a half. They advised me to return the script to the reception staff and ask them to change the prescription to 250 mg with a corresponding increase in how many to take per day. I left this with the reception staff and when I went to pick this up later that day (I was advised this would be rectified then) I was informed it had been sent back to the doctors twice but it still stated 500 mg. Overall my experience was very positive but I found the lack of communication between the Pharmacy and the surgery with regard to unavailable medication inconvenient and slightly concerning. In the end I have taken the prescription to another Pharmacy after it was sent back for correction twice with still no change (again inconvenient).

I can't rate this practice highly enough. My dad has recently passed away but over the last. Few years, as his health was significantly deteriorating, he has been treated with kindness, respect and compassion. The surgery were always responsive to my concerns and frequently went to see my dad at home. The care he received was of high quality and I am very grateful for everything they did.
