Trying to get an appointment is terrible!!! Staff show lack of care and phone system is just awful. This surgery was brilliant when Dr Shaw was there. When you actually need an appointment you just can not get one!!!

Awful. This used to be a good GP surgery with hardworking, pleasant reception staff and caring, professional medical staff. Not any more. Standards have been falling month by month - and in every area. It's not just the impossibility of getting an appointment, the rot runs right through. The reception staff seem to lack any empathy. The appointment system is hopeless, appointment times are never kept - even the first few appointments run late and if you have a late-morning appointment you just wait and wait. No one wants to improve the service, simply saying 'it's the same for everyone'. It is, but it's awful for everyone. Prescriptions still take 48 hours to process and you must attend in person for a repeat prescription. And then you find your prescription is not ready in 48 hours. Try 72 hours. Consultations are rushed with GPs barely listening to patients. Telephone consultations are even worse - no time to ask questions - GP can't wait to get off the call. A two hour wait for a two minute conversation. GP has never read notes, hasn't a clue why you are there. Rude and dismissive. This surgery really is terrible. This is a review of more than five years of visits

Dear Surgery manager I am emailing to praise the great service I have received from your nurse practitioner Mr Wong. In particular, the follow up phone call I received today following my telephone consultantation with him yesterday. During a time were accessing healthcare services can prove difficult and people are scared to seek help from A&E out of fear of covid, it is very reassuring that your GP service is going over and beyond for their patients. I am not sure whether follow up calls are usually standard practice but they are deffinatley beneficial in some circumstances as I was very close in needing hospital treatment (non covid related). Mr Wong is a credit to your service. We are all very quick to critisize and I just wanted to give some positive feedback were it is due. Thanks again. Helen
