Had an appointment booked for 09.45 which was made last week via the telephone (a weeks wait is the norm with this surgery) booked the day off work to attend. Arrived at the surgery to find they had no record of my appointment ?? couldn't make me another one there and then - simply advised to ring every morning to see what you can get ???? however they barely pick up the phone - I was impressed after two days of trying I got through last week! How can I be so hard to simply see a doctor here?!

So I’m new to the area and had to go to this practice which was a worry because the reviews online across many platforms are extremely poor- mainly around the areas of communication. Although from the statistics here I’m not encouraged regarding their medical performance. I’ve found a breast lump. First F2F bookable is in a month, told to call early 8am each day for an appt - to try get one earlier today offered a call back by GP although quite how she would validate a breast lump on the phone I’m not sure. I wasn't given a time and missed 2 calls within 25 mins of each other about 3pm as I’m at work. Phoned back immediately each time but takes so long to get the call answered I miss the GP. Receptionist says I won’t get another call as I’ve missed my appointment! Said I should have kept my phone at my side! What appointment? The definition of appointment is an agreed time and date I’ve only had the date! I can’t refuse to take work calls all day and I’m not taking a day off to wait for a GP call. Frankly if the worse happens and it did turn out to be breast cancer going on the stats above I don’t fancy my chances here.
