This surgery is terrible and the doctor should not be allowed to practice. I have lost both my parents through the incompetency of this place. The doctor refuses to see patients to the point where my mum ended with a 12 inch spline due to cancer. If my mum would have been seen when she had first requested an actual appointment not a phone appointment she may have still been with us. When we insisted on my mum getting an appointment due to her being in agony the onsite paramedic seen her not the Doctor. He was great and he had my mum in hospital the next day for tests. The specialist that seem my mum was speechless on how a GP let my mum get into this condition with no care Some of the staff are lazy and rude. When challenged about not doing there job hide behind the policy about care and dignity to the staff. Yet none of this was shown to my Mum and Dad by this practice. One example is I had to pick up a sample bottle for my mum. So i walked into collect it and out of the 5 people that was in the room all 4 wanted to do was tell me that the door was meant to be locked and they was closed. (even though it was just before closing) the 5th lady was on the phone and only one actually working, stopped what she was doing to basically tell the other 4 it was in the drawer and to hand it me. On another occasion when i was trying to chase up a prescription for my mum that the hospital had sent through for medication that she needed. I was told that they were 90+ letters that are waiting to be put on the system for my mum. I was completely shocked with her reply and when i challenged this i was told that we do have over 5000 other patients that we are “looking after” and these things take time call us back in a few days These are just a few of many examples of the poor service they gave my mum without even giving examples about my dad. We have also lost a long-time family friend who also attends this practice. He died from cancer. When he reported his symptoms to Dr Allen he was told it was just part of getting old. This family have had similar poor treatment from the Practice My advice is if you can find a different surgery please do for you own sake and you families

Dr Death as many people have described him as seems accurate. I blame this doctor for the lack of support I had as a teenager which has led to numerous issues and further health conditions as an adult. We have been with this surgery since I was a child and now pushing toward my late 20s I am constantly encouraging my family to change since I experienced proper care. I stood at the reception trying to register while visibly unwell but was told they could not help me until a week later. I was told I was prescribed medicine and when I asked the reception where I could pick it up there was no record of this. The nurses are a lovely and true asset to the surgery. As for the rest of the surgery, my thoughts are not positive.

Since Dr Rai has retired the practice is a joke, apart from the Nurse Practitioner's and the Reception staff.!! The so called GP in charge at the moment seems to have no time for anyone! I tried to make an appointment regarding crucial medication only to be told it was a telephone appointment, he didn't ring me, instead I received a text to which I couldn't reply... I really needed to talk to him because he'd messed my prescription's up, had to go to the practice to explain, the receptionist was helpful, I went the next day to the pharmacy (Tesco, Clifford Bridge Rd) to collect my prescription and it was still wrong, thankfully with their help... Which was amazing, they gave me part of the prescription to keep me going. I really can't understand why you still can't see the Dr? He really doesn't seem to care about his patient's, Dr Rai please come out of retirement(you help't me so much, with care and compassion when I lost both parents in the space of 11 months) and get the practice back to where it was!!!!I've been with Walsgrave Health Centre for over 30 years, it's never been this bad,I suppose they'll still be blaming Covid... Maybe it might be time to change practice's??
