Having not long joined the surgery as my previous surgery was a nightmare to book appointments and waiting times were ridiculous. I can say downsfield is doing a great job with its patients. Never waited more than 5 minute to be seen from my experience. So who ever is managing the surgery and overseeing the staff is doing a great job! Keep it up downsfield

This surgery makes me feel less confident every time I visit. Lately I have had to have blood tests done, nurse rang me with results but was advised to book for another appointment with the nurse to take more blood so I did book for a week later. On my visit I had my blood taken and was told that my last result came back with some positives and needed to book and see doctor about them after these blood result come back for the second time. So I tried to book a couple of days ahead only to be told that I couldn’t even though my blood results need discussing. I was told to ring on the day, Thursday,, and make booking then. So it’s thursday and guess what I can’t make an appointment. I feel so ill and worried and this is making me feel ill even more. I am changing doctors as of today and fingers crossed I find a surgery that has some dignity for the patients. My worries are made worse by the fact that my mom was constantly ignored about her health last year and sadly pasted away Boxing Day due to cancer, even with this in mind you’d think that they would understand why I’m so apprehensive at this surgery. Appointments booking is a joke and don’t even think of being ill because it’s easier to go to walk-in or A&E but then get told off by doctor on next visit. Avoid this surgery as it only thinks about patient numbers and not care.
