After a succession of poorly performing surgeries, I have ended up here in desperation. My first visit and, oh dear! I met with a person who chose to address me by my first name without my consent so, lack of social skills clearly evident. Their tone of voice was patronizing and arrogant and when I tried to explain my feelings this person just sat smirking at me. At one point this person boasted that they had been in the job for 19 years so, clearly new to work for a person of my age group. Hopefully the blood test requested will not be rejected because it needs to be taken 3 months from the previous and this is not the case! Not a good start to the patient experience but this seems to be what I am expected to accept and tolerate from very important people but, being told that I am a new patient and need to mellow because I was explaining the reasons for my problems with NHS staff. Not the best of starts and this person has done absolutely nothing to convince me of their vaiue to my health 'care'. So, it looks like i have to learn to accept low standards and arrogance and keep my mouth shut to placate the people in NHS employment today. Maybe I would be better without these 'services'
