Not able to get an appointment. When I finally get to see a doctor he was rude unhelpul and uncaring. I am in the process of changing GP.

SHOCKING PRACTICE Both hubby and I are on lifetime medication and getting a script can be a nightmare, they actually just stopped one of hubbys meds with no explanation or call or seeing him. I my last Asthma check was horrendous, I'm sure she was the tea lady to be honest, abrupt, rude, no knowledge of Asthma. I fought to get an appointment when I found a lump on my breast..a ma, I won't give him the title of Dr told me it was a splinter and would work it's way out..it didn't and it wasn't, I have the ugly scare to prove it after surgery. Same when I had a sudden chasing of skin on my arm, had to fight to get see, referred to the skin team at Heartlands then the cancer team... My long term mental health is never checked or my other long term conditions. Hubby called this morning to book me a appointment and told a phone call in 11 days is the best they can offer, no time for the call, even approximate would be a start as I'll be at work. So much for the NHS saying there is no reason for GP s not to do face to face consults now... Hubby had 3x the red blood cell count than he should so another test was done and it was suddenly normal, all in a week, a miracle you think, when he questioned the rapid return to normal he was told it has been that high I the past but it's just no one told him....I'll let you check the NHS site about raised red cell count and the issues it can be I dictating... Absolutely CRAP this practice, in it for the government money..too many patients and people who simply don't care about the wellbeing of them. About time another inspection was carried out, they need a serious kick up the arse or closing down.

When contacting the wilnecot surgery to attempt to book an appointment, I found that it is virtually impossible. The level of patient care shown by the reception is zero. Why do untrained individuals (receptionists) have the final say on who is able to see a doctor. I was informed that I could not see a doctor unless I booked an appointment via a telephone at 08:30 in the morning. When trying to make contact at the above time, I found that this is also impossible. If this level of assistance continues, eventually this will inevitably cost someone their life. In the current stressful situation that the country finds itself in, the mental welfare of individuals seems very low to the receptionists answering the phone. This needs to be addressed at the earliest opportunity before individuals lifes are effected or lost.
