I had a very sudden and worrying gynae problem which upset me terribly. I rang the surgery, very efficient receptionist took details, and then offered me an appointment at noon that day. she really was amazing,she listened, read up on the computer, found out some recent history . she took a water sample, did a smear, and promptly arranged for an appointment at the hospital within 2 weeks. Instead of me worrying all weekend, i had been re assured, and dealt with in such a kind and professional way . This senior Nurse practitioner was very calm, she got on with the job in hand, but i felt like she had given me lots of time and understanding,. The receptionist was lovely and when i told her my problem, she wasted no time arranging an appointment . i cant speak highly enough of the team at Marden. Thank you | |||||||

I had a UTI with bleeding after peeing that started on Sunday . The NHS website recommended urgent GP appointment. On Monday , I explained my symptoms to the receptionist and requested a GP appointment. I was delighted and relieved to be offered an appointment at 10.55. However , this appointment was with a nurse . She told me that she could see to my needs and went on to say she had arranged for me to have antibiotics and that , after some persuasion, that she would make a referral to urology for me . When my prescription didn’t arrive at the pharmacy, I rang to find out the expected time that it would arrive only to be told the GPS do prescriptions between 3 and 6pm. The nurse is not able to prescribe and almost certainly won’t be able to make the referral either .I guess she can feed back her findings to a GP though. By 7.30 the prescription still hadn’t arrived at the pharmacy. I must now wait until morning before I can find out what has happened to my prescription. | |||||||
