I had a lovely nurse for my appointment. Very friendly and thorough. However after making it clear when we spoke on Thursday March 7th that I needed my medication by Saturday March 9th, as I had used up my last, and that was when I needed to start taking it again. The surgery proceeded to send my prescription to the incorrect pharmacy, not my delegated one on their system. I only became aware of this when the delegated pharmacy had no record of anything being sent across for me. This is inconvenient because of my work shifts and the fact that I can only collect on foot, which is a 25 minute walk away. After chasing it up with a member of staff at the surgery via phone Monday 11th, already two days too late with them being closed in the sunday, they assured me that it would be sent with a driver to the correct pharmacy and be there for me to collect the next day. After work today I called into the pharmacy to collect, only to be told that they still don't have it. So I had to wait for them enquire with the incorrect pharmacy to see if they still had it, and sure enough it was still sitting on their shelf, 5 days too late. I have now been promised it will be there tomorrow, 6 days without my medication. It had better be...

This surgery went above and beyond for me. I have had several GP's from moving around and this surgery stands out. Particular mentions to a particular doctor and another member of staff for the outstanding care they have given me and my family. The new surgery premises now are also excellent. Reception staff are also always friendly and helpful. I had no problems seeing a GP of my choice when needed. In emergencies all the other GP staff I have seen have been excellent too. The nurse practitioner has given me and my children excellent care when we have seen her as have the other nurses. This surgery really can't be faulted. They genuinely care and offer great patient continuity of care which is rare.
