I am middle aged with a few ongoing health issues - some I've had all my life. I have lived in Cornwall and Devon all my life, in many different towns - under many different GP surgeries. I have to say, hands down, that Glendevon Medical Centre offers the best care I have ever experienced. If you are happy to embrace new ways to be assessed such as phone/email (as I am) then you will receive advice quickly and efficiently. I honestly can't fault their service in any way and always get answers to my queries way faster than I would have if I insisted on seeing a doctor face-to-face and had to wait for an appointment. On the occasions when that has been necessary, their GP's and nurses have always treated me extremely well. The population of Devon (and Cornwall) has increased (and is still increasing) to a ludicrous level in recent years and ALL our services are being stretched to breaking point. Anyone expecting to get a GP or dentist appointment quickly these days should adjust their expectations accordingly - or move back to where they came from.

I previously wrote a one star review for my Kakfkaesque experience of trying to obtain a repeat prescription. However, on reflection it is important and fair to note that apart from this experience there are a number of people at the practice who have been brilliant during my time there. The person I spoke too at reception and the GP who I spoke too yesterday identified the issue and rectified it as it was clear to them what had happened and where the miscommunication had arisen. Moreover the Practice was very good at organising covid vaccinations and same day appointments when they were needed. My GP is very good and has always organised face to face examinations and referrals when necessary.
