Waking-up on holiday with suspected (self diagnosed) bells palsy was a worrying experience as the symptoms had similarities with a minor stroke. The NICE website indicated that bells palsy needed to be treated with steroids within 72 hours of the onset of symptoms
Having contacted the surgery by telephone at 10.15am on a Monday morning, I was given an emergency appointment at 10.50am. Bells palsy was confirmed by the doctor who provided treatment with the highest level of care and professionalism.
By midday, I was back in my holiday apartment with presciption medication for this uncomfortable condition and the highest level of gratitude to the doctor, the Surgery, and the NHS. |

Last week a member of our family became unwell whilst on holiday in Falmouth. After contacting minor injuries to get advice about which service to contact we were directed to this practice. Telephoned practice at 8am, telephone swiftly answered after a short wait in the queue, very helpful receptionist who arranged appointment after we provided some initial details, friendly and welcoming reception team on arrival, gp was very caring. It is never nice to be unwell, especially away from home. Thank you for your time and efforts, they are much appreciated. |

i have never required the surgery much before but recently due to horrendous circumstances at work i have needed them - my calls have been answered - i like knowing where i am in the queue, the receptionists have been warm, friendly and accommodating - polite, helpful and willing to go that extra mile with help, advice and smiles.
I have been able to see my doctor on each day I have needed too - he has also been warm, friendly and extremely helpful. He listened without judgement, advised me of the best way forward and has been accessible if i needed him. He has shown me compassion and a positive way to look forward, which has been paramount in my recovery. He has offered good sound professional advice and guidance. I have never felt rushed or a bother and have left feeling better each time. This has all happened without medication. I could not have reached this point without him and i thank him immensely for his care, support, concern and unfathomable belief that I would get better. I am still uncertain at times but he has reassured me he is there if I need him and I am so positive that there is light at the end of the tunnel, today - tomorrow - life is going to be a good day. My sails are set ...... feeling more free and he said I had my spark back .....
- simply Thank you for caring and just being you. |
