Disability discrimination is so bad here, especially regarding mental health and autism. I have both plus complex physical needs. They fill me with so much anxiety it actually is further detrimental to health. Even after many complaints and finally direct to the Care quality commission (whom were horrified at their behaviour) they don’t change. Getting an appointment is impossible even when requested by the hospital. They often cancel or rearrange appointments at short notice- as little as an hour before on 2 occasions. The reception staff are the biggest problem, with only one exception being a lovely lady called Pat. They are rude and dismissive, try and guilt-trip you and treat people so cruelly I have witnessed many cry, as I have also done myself. This makes them worse. I was actually yelled at for “my abusive behaviour” during a panic attack once- luckily I record most interactions now proving no such thing. Certainly some receptionists seem to enjoy peoples upset they cause. Although they are very busy and the nhs is struggling more than ever, it is no excuse to treat people with such contempt with it leading to lengthy hospital admissions after I became so unwell after months of dismissal for “wasting their valuable time and resources that can be used for someone more deserving” The irony is that I really really don’t want to be bothering with them if I can help it- why would I put myself through the hell? Thank you, rant over.

My personal advice would be to steer clear of this GP surgery. Not only are the receptionists rude and obnoxious the Practice also discriminates against people with MH problems and does not recognize the Equality Act 2010. I was told I would not get treatment if I failed to wear a face mask/visor even though I am exempt on medical grounds. It also takes them ages to answer the phone, one day it took me a total of over 110 times, so please make sure you're not in dire need of medical care before trying to contact them. If you can navigate past the receptionist that's also a plus but be prepared to be interrogated and put down. I have been reduced to tears. Best avoided at all costs.

If I could leave a no star I would absolute appalling practice so much I have left and gone to another surgery. When your expecting a phone call from one of the nurses you better pick up after just one ring as if any more than that they hang up the phone put on their system they rang you twice and cross your name off the list. The receptionists are rude there is a blonde polish one who has absolutely no care for the job she does is rude obnoxious and arrogant and I know she has had many complaints about her attitude yet still seems to work there! Trying to get an appointment is like trying to raise the dead try try try again and still not able too! This practice it the WORST gp surgery I have ever been too think twice before registering you will be disappointed!
