Long ansaphone message about covid …. Still !! Receptionists when you finally get through are unhelpful in fact I’d say rude !! Worst practice organisation I’ve ever encountered

I have recently visited the surgery for a blood test and was disappointed in how the procedure was carried out. 1. The HCA did not wash her hands before or after the procedure. 2. She did not clean the kidney dish prior to gathering her equipment. 3. She did not wear non-sterile gloves until I commented. 4. She did not clean the skin prior to puncture. (I appreciate this practice is not followed by many but is recommended in the NICE guidelines and in the Royal Marsden book of clinical procedures). I asked her to clean the skin which should be for 30 seconds and then allowed to dry; she gave it two wipes and then tried to waft it dry. I told her this was not best practice. Having said all this, I do have to say that she maintained a calm quiet demeanour throughout and accepted that perhaps bad habits have crept in. In addition she was able to get a sample from me and I do not have visible veins. Could she and her colleagues be re directed to your local policy and please send me a copy. Thank you
