I used burnham health center for years and years and today it’s impossible to get a appointment at 8am I agree once I get through no appointments available this very frustrating and trying to tell your employer can’t get appointment Or even a telephone appointment which you used get on the day you called but you on a list 2 weeks time Then you keep trying to call everyday at 8am no success get appointment this would definitely cause a health issue I think there can ditch the calling for appointments at 8am I think the appointment system needs to be much fairer maybe go back to the old times walked to the receptionist at 8am and lucky if you get appointment on the day if not book appointment up to two weeks and at least you will get appointment

I have been working myself in the health and social care field for the past nearly 20 years in different parts of the country, but honestly, I haven't seen such a poor practice anywhere. Its impossible to arrange appointments, the system is a joke, both phone line and patient access. You are asked to be on the phone for hours to be told at the end that no appointments are left. They literally have no appointments to offer to the patients that they agreed to register and provide healthcare. The surgery is playing with the lives of vulnerable patients and committing acts of neglect. I am not blaming the doctors but the overall management and appointment system is a disgrace. I have contacted my local MP and am taking the matters to PALs, CCG & CQC with a hope that someone will intervene as I strongly believe the practice is not fit for purpose and either needs to improve or close down.

Appointment system is poor and relies on patients knowing how to be successful using the frustrating phone and online systems available. Patients need a good deal of luck and a lot of persistance, to get any kind of appointment, including getting a telephone appointment. There's been some attempt to deal with this in the recent past but it's a large surgery that is struggling to cope with ever increasing numbers.
