My family and I have recently joined the surgery and have been impressed by the way we've been made to feel welcome by both reception staff and medical professionals, in person and on the phone. Making appointments has been fine and been invited to a flu jab clinic.

Wargrave surgery is the only surgery I have ever known. I have used them for years and I have always been happy with my choice. I have always felt comfortable with the staff and the place it’s self. I have been really disheartened lately with the surgery and I have struggled a lot with trying to book an appointment. Once I finally got to speak to someone I have either been rudely spoken to or told I’m in the wrong. I finally made a doctors appointment today and feel a little uncomfortable with going due to the way I was spoken to on the phone. Some of the admin team that we speak to have lack of telephone etiquette. I’m really upset to have to write something of such a negative nature, but to feel uncomfortable to approach my own doctors surgery because of manner I have been spoken to is not something I feel should go a miss.

Thank you for your comments about the surgery. We take all comments about our service both positive and negative very seriously. We are sorry to hear that you have had a bad experience when contacting the surgery today and we would welcome the opportunity to discuss your concerns face to face. We have an ongoing training programme for all staff and ensure that telephone manner is included regularly. We will use your feedback in our ongoing training. We certainly do not want patients to feel anxious when coming to the surgery and we try hard to make sure that our patient experience is as hassle free as possible. Your comments will be discussed at the next partners meeting which are held every Monday.
