I've been with Bury Road Surgery my whole life and have never had a bad visit to the clinic - yes, the doctors occasionally run late (usually because they're spending time caring for patients who need a little more explanation or support), and yes, they can't always give me an appointment at the drop of a hat (usually because what I perceive as an emergency, could actually wait until tomorrow!) - but the doctors have always been kind and attentive, the reception staff friendly and helpful and the environment clean and welcoming. Dr Anandan is a particular credit to the surgery - with a wide stretching knowledge base, engaging personality and a genuine care for his patients. He's made me feel comfortable with awkward issues, calmed my mind when my body does weird things, and gone over and above to care for me as an individual rather than just another patient. Sue on reception is also an absolute credit to the surgery! I breathe a happy sigh every time her cheerful northern voice answers the phone, because I know I'll be getting a confident, friendly and concise service. No matter what I need! Highly recommend Bury Road Surgery over the other tempting groups - it's a personal clinic, providing honest, pragmatic healthcare and, though I'm not a particularly sickly person, I've never had an issue being seen/helped when needed.

We generally manage to process prescription requests within 2 days however there can be many factors which can delay the issuing of medication and these delays are not necessarily due to issues in the practice's control. If you contact the practice we will be able to investigate what happened.

After the appalling service I have had from a certain doctor I was booked in to see my old GP today. For the first time in three years I was treated with respect and listened to. I have now received the GP support to which I am entitled. When booked to see the previous doctor in the past I have had to take a Diazapam to face the appointment.- today I was treated with total respect and courtesy and prescribed the exact treatment that I have been asking for. I would like to say a big thank you to this doctor. Please pass this on. Thank you.
