They do everything possible to prevent you actually seeing a GP face to face. Expected to take a photo of the problem and describe what it looks like during a phone consultation where you are only given times of morning or afternoon. This is progress?!! Preventative medicine it isn't.

I find myself, yet again, leaving a negative review for the Christchurch Medical Practice. I am unable to order a repeat prescription for my 16 year old son on the telephone. I am informed I have to visit the surgery in person to fill out a form and hand it back to the receptionist - they have online services but seem to have taken a backward step with this archaic process. I have not left this until the last minute (I know the practice too well to take such risks!). They can't even send the prescription to my local pharmacy. Fortunately I drive and can get to the surgery before my son's medication runs out. But what about the patients who do not drive or are not online, my 76 year old Mother for instance. What do they do? I can't t even sign my son up to the online services "online" - I also have to do this in person! Once again, everything feels like a battle, one you always have to preempt.
