I very rarely use any GP or surgery if I can avoid them I will. However there is one issue of concern that I have been reporting to my Gp for over seven years with many locums making all different guesses. Constantly given different ideas or diagnoses of what it could be by random locums taking a guess. 7 years for the same issue no referrals made to find cause of issue. Waited 2 and a half weeks for phone appointment for GP to state they don’t know what to suggest. (A referral to a specialist would been good) asked me to make an for a face to face. 7 years same issue not made any referrals to find cause or correct diagnosis. Horrendous!!!

I arrived 30 minutes early for my appointment and checked in with the receptionist. I asked if my doctor was running on time and was told she was running late. I commented that I would then go across the road to Costa and have a coffee. The receptionist then said that my appointment would not be held!!! I asked her to qualify this and she reiterated that the appointment would not be guaranteed! So I waited in the reception area for nearly 50 minutes well over the appointment time and in good time for me to have had a coffee! When I asked to see the office manager she eventually came out. She had been sitting at her desk for the duration of my conversations and not intervened. When she came to speak with me she said she would make sure the doctor would see me ASAP but did not resolve the misinformation that the receptionist told me I would lose my appointment if I left for coffee. It was the doctor who understanding my annoyance said that I would not have lost my appointment slot and could have left the surgery and returned! Great doctors, poor reception service
