I like going to this surgery. I always feel that my ailments, albeit, so far minor, are taken seriously and have been treated with the utmost respect. The reception staff are lovely and are always so friendly and helpful. I think people who complain are really being unfair as we all know how overworked and undervalued most NHS staff are these days.
We are so lucky in this country to have free health care and I for one appreciate and thank all the staff at Fir surgery for all they do for me. | |||||||

I have never felt the desire to write a review online about anything, until now!
I started on a treatment of medication 12 months ago. The first 6 months were absolutely fine, I had 6 months of batch prescriptions so they were always ready to go fornthe next month.
Then, when coming in for a review, it was recommended that I use the electronic prescription service as this would make it 'much easier as I could order my next month's prescription online.
In the 6 months since I changed to this service, 4 or 5 of the months where I have tried to order my next batch have resulted in some sort of 'problem', meaning that I have had 3-5 days of not being able to take my medication! Most of these seem to have been administrations errors of some sort. However the most recent one was after I came in to visit one of the gp's. I was told that they would send the prescription through to my pharmacy for me to collect when needed.
I did as instructed when I ran out, only to be told that there was nothing there for me. The pharmacy kindly sent through a fax to the gp to request the prescription.
The gp did not even reply to this, resulting in me having to wait over the weekend to call them (again, no medication). It turned out that my prescription was sat waiting at the gp for me, great communication!
The apparent incompetancy of the surgery and complete lack of communication has resulted in me, a number of times, being left without medication for a number of days, which obviously has not very nice consequences for me!!!
It has left me feeling like the surgery does not have much respect for my duty of care.
The result is that I will be looking for a new gp surgery!!!
I know this is only my personal experience, but I thought I should share this! Unfortunately I cannot offer anything more that an apology at this time as I am unable to check that what you mentioned is correct. I would have liked the opportunity to discover why this happend this would have then allowed me the opportunity to ensure that the samething does not happen again. If you should decide to stay with the surgery I would ask that if you should have anymore problems you should contact the Practice Manager who will hopefully be able to assist you and ensure that your problems are resolved quickly. | |||||||

The worst GP I have ever been to. I called everyday for one month and they didn’t give me an appointment. They end the call on me and don’t give appointment. When they do give appointments they do not help and call everything ‘normal’. The doctors are beyond rude and unhelpful. | |||||||
