My son suffers terribly with excema and over the last month he has been complaining of an itchy bottom. I applied all the lotions and potions we have for him, without success. I could not get an appointment yesterday when I phoned, but as it is not an urgent problem this wasn't an issue. The friendly receptionist made me an appointment for today. We saw the nurse who was very kind and engaging with my son. He wanted a second opinion and called the duty doctor in. I was very pleased at how my son was treated, with equality and dignity.

I had a phone call from my daughter's school to say she had some eye pain. (I had sent her to school with a slightly red eye that morning and had asked them to keep an eye on it). The school assured me it did not look any worse. I phoned Witterings Medical Centre, there were no appointments so the friendly receptionist put me down for a call back from the duty doctor. The doctor phoned back shortly after and made arrangements for my daughter to see her after school. When I picked my daughter up, her eye was fine and I felt like a complete time waster. However, the doctor was lovely and said she could see that my daughter's eye looked a little sore and she understood why I was worried (my daughter having periorbital cellulitis 18 months ago). The doctor took my daughters temperature and checked her over, saying that if anything changed to phone the surgery straight away. Everyone at Witterings Medical Centre are always so compassionate and never make me feel that I am wasting their time.

Disgusting medical centre , I was standing in the que at the receptionist and the receptionist is bad mouthing the pharmacy staff and redirecting patients to different pharmacies . Actually appalled with such unprofessionalism . If they do this then they obviously talking bad about their patients too . I see their adjacent pharmacy team working so hard and see the surgery giving them stick . They need to be retrained in the surgery . I will be reporting this further.
