Very disappointed. As someone who very rarely goes to the doctor I was under the assumption that I would be taken seriously. After attending and explaining I had a very bad back and thought I had possibly slipped a disk because of the severe pain, I was told that there was no medication for a bad back and that all that could be done would be a referral for physio. I called again a few days later to explain the pain was getting worse. I was told to call an out of hours doctor if it got worse because the bank holiday was coming up and they had no further appointments. Needless to say we ended up having to call an ambulance to the house to take me to hospital, the lovely ambulance crew called my doctor and explained that I would need to be described pain killers as a matter of urgency to which she replied " what do you want me to do about it now ? I'm in surgery " The crew were absolutely shocked and disgusted at the lack of care or empathy. A&E packed me home with several types of pain relief and I had to pay for a private physio, because of the delay, she wrote to the GP and advised I needed an MRI immediately ! I am now looking for another GP surgery.
