It is impossible to get an appointment in this surgery and the staff are totally unhelpful. The options available seem to be book an appointment for 2 weeks time or call at 8am and sit on hold for 20 minutes to wait to see if you are lucky enough to be able to see a doctor. I have taken out full medical insurance, following my experiences at this surgery, but can't access this without seeing a GP first - I do not understand how anyone who works full time can ever manage to get medical attention.

My daughter is a student and has been trying for 3 days to get an appointment for a nasty ear infection. On Monday, having been on the phone from 8am to 8:45 she was told to call back the following day. She did, spent best part of an hour trying to get through and was told, once again, that there were no appointments and to keep calling through the day, which she did - unsuccessfully. Today she got through, was told there were appointments, but she couldn't have one because she is a student and registered with another practice. We have been through this ludicrous situation before. If the reception staff were properly trained, or bothered to look at the NHS website on student care, they would know that students are allowed 14 days emergency care with their home GP without needing to register as a temporary patient. 3 days wasted trying to get an appointment and we are going to end up going to A&E anyway as they will not give her one of their available appointments. It's just really poor service. Nobody wants to waste hospital resource in a pandemic because the GP refuses to offer up appointments that they have free. Meanwhile, I have a daughter who is unwell and in pain.
