Dysart Surgery

I had a abscess on my back which initially was dealt with at The Beacon. After a couple of weeks I was transferred to the nurses at the surgery for regular treatment approximately three times a week for a month. This service was absolutely fantastic and I could not have had any better care and attention even though they are always extremely busy. A huge thank you to all the nurses.

I was registered with Dysart Surgery for over 2 years until a change of address. Having a bone-related long-standing illness, I require daily medication - a special order that doesn't exist in the NHS system and therefore has to be prescribed manually to then be manufactured at a laboratory. From the day I registered to two weeks after I moved location, I had nothing but appallingly bad experiences, mostly due to the secretaries' disregard of their patients' conditions and requirements, but also due to very convoluted admin processes between them and the doctors. I tried explaining my unusual condition to a number of doctors at the surgery, but at least 50% of the prescriptions I ordered were either typed wrongly by the doctors, or misplaced by the secretaries. I was at one point left without medication for nearly a month, which to me constitutes medical negligence and isn't acceptable for anyone, but more so for someone with a long-standing illness that requires daily medication. As I was in the process of moving address, I asked for a final prescription to take me through to the first days at the new GP - this was promptly ignored by everyone at Dysart, who didn't bother issuing one and proceeded to remove me from their registration records. This said, and even though some doctors (like P. Ryba) were attentive and did a good job, I am unable in good conscience to give this surgery more than 1 star out of 5, or recommend it to anyone living in the area. Especially if you have a severe, or long-standing condition - it's too much of a risk.

This is possibly the worst GP surgery I have ever been registered with. I have had multiple health issues caused by the delay or non-diagnosis. I had a skin condition since November 2018. I still have it today. I have registered with another surgery. Before than I was given 2 different diagnosis. Both inconclusive. No remedy just told to use thick creams, oils or to watch my diet. I also had a gastro condition. Got diagnosed this Christmas with Gastritis. I was told a number of times I had IBS. Had pain since 2016 and was only given incorrect testing in 2018. A number of doctors there refuse to listen to the patient by brushing off concerns which can last with long periods of depression and discomfort. I wouldn't recommend them.
