Do not pay too much attention to the other reviews given here as they do not break down the two aspects of a GP's surgery. When you get in to see the Doctor you will ALWAYS be listened to, treated with respect and given the best care. The problem is BEFORE you get in to see the Doctor. One receptionist would struggle to find her nose with her finger and the other, with the questions she tries to ask, thinks she is a doctor whilst the Practice Manager appears a figment of someone's imagination as you can't actually get hold of her! Be calm, be assertive (NOT aggressive) and remember Doctor will care for you which is more than can be said by these nameless, faceless multi-GP practices. And as for times of appointments - if you want to be seen on time, GO PRIVATE! This is a working GP surgery and Doctor has other people to see before arriving for surgery (not an extra hour in bed just to annoy you!). And remember, when you are seen, he will give you the time YOU need which will have a knock-on effect on other's timings, but he will stay as late as he needs to in order to see everybody? Isn't a few minutes of your time worth it in return for that level of care and commitment? |

I've used this surgery for a few years now and can honestly say this is probably one of the worst and most unprofessional surgeries that I have come across. The receptionists are extremely rude and most importantly the doctor is highly unprofessional and rude.
Begged and pleaded for him to fill out my private medical forms, as he said he didn't have to do it when in fact he must, he delayed it as much as possible, over charged me and still filled it out wrong.
Then when it came to needing blood tests, scans and surgery he tries to convince you that you are completely fine even though one of the top neurosurgeons in the country had written to him saying that scans and surgery were the only way forward. Using stories of his own issues as a child he tried to persuade me to not have surgery, then after I insisted he still tried to put as many roadblocks in the way as possible.
Its come to the point that when the thought of seeing him fills me with dread and worry. The doctor lacks empathy and acts in the most unprofessional manner where he raises his voice if you disagree with what he says and insist on having an MRI. Avoid at all costs. |

I'm not totally pleased with the way this GP handles ones health care and the level of attention is so poor. Tends to make decision for you and tells you that's the only option available when people like me have researched and asked other GPs who are my friends. This practise also forgets that other people are proffesionals in their own field and there is need for respect and not treating patients as if they are illiterates or laboratory pigeons for experiment. Reseptionist are also full of themselfs, not respectful or considerate in any sense. I thing its my life and for me to entrust it into your surgery's hand there must be trust! |
