My elderly mother filled in the forms to join this surgery over two months ago and still she has not been contacted to tell my parent if she has been accepted. We phoned the surgery and asked why it is taking so long and was told that the doctor has many applications to go through and as the surgery has only one doctor it will take a while. I appreciate that it would take a while but waiting two months surely is too long to wait. My mother is elderly and will not go to her present doctor because she has to travel two miles to get there and suffers from severe arthritis and as she gets older she finds traveling more and more painful also because she wants to see a female doctor and this surgery has a female doctor. This surgery is still accepting patients and I wonder why they still are when they say they have a backlog of applications to go through, surely they should stop taking more applications until they have finished dealing with present applications. I am worried that my mother has been put to the back of the queue because of her age. My mother is in constant pain and needs to see a doctor and she won't see one until she has been accepted as a patient here. Please accept my mother as a patient soon as she needs to see a female doctor.

phone and face to face consultation both went really well. both reception and doctor patient and understanding and caring. very freindly professional staff
