I rang the doctors surgery this morning for an emergency appointment and although I am not registered here I do work full time in Lamberhurst, and it has never been an issue before with any other surgery to be seen in an emergency as well as previously my colleagues have been seen here as a last resort. I spoke to a rude and obnoxious person who was supposedly the 'manager' of the surgery this morning. I was very dissatisfied with their attitude and lack of concern for patients. They were very unhelpful and continued to emphasise that I was wrong and didn't know what I was talking about. The manager was convinced that I have to go to my own surgery, which is over 10 miles away, even if it was an emergency. I strongly believe this person is not aware of the rules for a Doctors Surgery and obviously has no concern for anyone, especially patients in need. They then proceeded to tell me they had no appointments available anyway, even though I had just spoken to the receptionist who said they had appointments still available. I can't believe how rude and unpleasant my phone call to this person was, and I would not attend the Lamberhurst surgery after this even if I was desperate.
