I came away today feeling a little disappointed. I was concerned about my daughter who was in with the doctor as the doctor had rushed out to collect water for her. I spoke to the receptionist as I wondered if she needed me. I got a very abrupt answer from one lady who asked me how old she was, when I replied 18 she made me feel like it had nothing to do with me. Luckily the other receptionist was very kind and checked to see if she was okay. My point is that the age of the family member is irrelevant. I showed concern and should have been put at ease straight away rather than being made to feel like it has nothing to do with me because my daughter is over 18. As I said before one of the receptionists took me seriously and helped me out.

Thank you for your comment. I'm pleased to hear that one of the reception staff checked that your daughter was OK and she was able to reassure you. With your permission we would like will use this incident as a learning tool for ongoing staff training.

I’m fed up with GP’s googling illnesses. I could stay at home and do that - the irony being that last time my daughter had a rash the doctor couldn’t identify it yet I did - by googling it! Some of the doctors don’t even look at you when you walk through the door and one particular yawned and rearranged her desk rather than look at me! There have been a few outstanding GPs at this practice over the last thirty years but sadly they have now all retired or moved on. You feel like a complete nuisance when you go in there. I’ve don’t feel at all supported by my GP sadly. On the plus side some of the receptionists and nurses have been very helpful indeed. My daughter came back from University and tried to move to the adjoining practice but after she filled out all the forms it was refused because she still lives at home with us. I don’t like to moan and I would be the first to tell them if they had done well but they really need to pick up their game at this GP’s practice.

I came to see the nurse for an asthma review in the summer because I didn’t have one of my inhalers, she then could not prescribe so there is a delay in receiving my treatment. In the months since using both inhalers my asthma has not improved. I rang last week to make appointment to be informed that there are no appointments. And I can do an e consult which I done and receive an appointment with the nurse again who can’t prescribe in 3 weeks time. When rang to change this I was it I was advise that she is. On holiday i asked for an appointment with a prescriber as it is affecting my health. I was then told to go to urgent care this is not good health care from practice in the last 3 years this practice has seriously gone down hill
