A very edited version of what I would like to write, is something along the lines of this... If a couple of the GPs here had the skills in terms of "understanding" and "compassion" of the same high standard that some of the receptionists possess, both Ticehurst and Wadhurst surgeries would be rated higher in this review. It does not fill one with confidence when, having sat down with the doctor by their desk, within less that a minute an assumed prognosis is delivered, and you are then shown the door.. Yes! Shown the door!! No discussion, no questions as like "Is there anything else you are worried about?" No physical checks. No apparent concern; just a prescription and the feeling that I should just keep my fingers crossed, and hope. Conversely, there are other GPs here who offer the confidence and assureties that are expected; one can only wish that they could be assigned to more patients though though that is highly unlikely. Examples such as these need to be urgently reviewed because, I know, from hearing one half of phone call conversations to these two surgeries that there are people in the locality who have the same doubts and low levels of confidence, just as I do.
