I just called to get an emergency appointment for my son who is 2 with suspected whooping cough and odd breathing the night before to be told by the receptionist all their morning appointments are gone and to call back at 12 but still not guaranteed an appointment. I said but that all depends on where you are at in the que and if someone is dying then it’s tough luck if they don’t get through is that what you’re saying - she replied with yes! Unbelievable he is a baby!! I’ll be complaining for sure. The doctors at this practice have been ok so far though. |

The doctors themselves are ok when you EVENTUALLY get to see them but actually getting to see one is near on impossible. This is actually very traumatic when you are in pain or concerned, or indeed frightened. You can never get through on the phone (even though I have seen the reception area empty) and if you DO manage to speak to a receptionist, they are always rude, unhelpful and most definitely uncaring. I appreciate they might be under pressure but I would have thought in a job like that, one of the main criteria would be empathy with a patient. Booking online is ridiculous - they only offer telephone consulations - if you need to see me physically to diagnose then all you do is have a phone call to arrange to have a further appointment - it just makes the process longer, not shorter and quicker which is what is suggested. Just awful service all round and I am terrified of getting sick as I know I won't get the help I might need. |

Absolutely abysmal. It’s Impossible to get through on the phone never mind get an appointment. Reception staff have no empathy, care or kindness and will try to gaslight you into thinking there’s nothing wrong with you instead of booking you an appointment. They make it SO difficult and put so many barriers in place to receiving the required care that you end up giving up out of sheer frustration. They also ask for more medical info than you should have to share with a receptionist which is completely inappropriate. If you do manage to book an appointment, it will be weeks in advance and then they will change the time randomly and then blame you for missing it. All of the appointments are on the phone even if you need to be seen face to face. You put something on repeat prescription but it never comes through on repeat. I have a chronic condition and was dismissed by the doctors here and told by one doctor it was all in my head and by another that my chronic pain is something I have to live with. I’m now having to pay for private treatment because nobody here listened or cared. Myself and lots of patients now don’t even bother calling the practice or trying to get an appt. The only way to get seen nowadays is to go to A&E. also, despite the government providing free contraception this practice does everything to make it impossible for women to get their contraceptive pills. Why should we risk pregnancy because of their inefficiency. |
