Last few years this practice has taken a down turn. The gps were all young - but now they don’t stay and each time you start from scratch. After my last appointment I will be going elsewhere. Waited 2 weeks (was always within 2 days) and the new v young gp just couldn’t be bothered. It is never busy. A big space but no more than two ever in the waiting area if that. Usually alone. Also had a phone appointment about a blood test with a health professional who noticed that a promised referral hadn’t been made. Blood test was slightly concerning but for the 3rd year it will be wait and see. I don’t feel confident.

The next appointment is not for three weeks, and they dont do walk ins. No wonder A&E is bursting. This is not a busy surgery, like many in inner London, but seems to be run, not for the benefit of the patients (who effectively are told to f*** off) but to enable most of the staff to be part time . The worst thing is the practice manager refuses to speak to anyone. This used to be a great surgery but it has lost its way. They should re-focus so they face the communities who need them. It is so sad and wrong.

(1) The GPs are professional and compassionate; they show that they really do care, and would like to help you as much as possible. They take the time during consultations to ensure a proper understanding of the difficulties you're going through. The Clinical and Safeguarding Lead providing reassuring service, making sure that I didn't feel judged but rather felt comfortable at the surgery. The GPs also understand the difficulties young students at the LSE face particularly well. (2) The admin team is nice as well despite what I'm sure must be heavy workload. (3) Speaking of appointments, the online booking system often only gives appointment slots of say, the next week for routine GP appointments, though if you need urgent care, call the clinic and I'm sure they'd help you. I got a same-day appointment with my GP this way, when the next available appointment for my GP would be after a week and I didn't really wish to wait. There are quite a few GPs at the surgery and you may not always get the same one, though if you make routine appointments you'd be able to - most of the time I did. Regardless of which one you get though, the GPs are all nice and professional people who genuinely want to help. From my experience there, one can rest assured that one will be in safe hands.
