I have recently moved to Ongar, have been told that this is the best for all of it services which I can not fault at all. The receptionists are very pleasant and making an appointment is very easy. It’s just the time keeping of the doctors, I have not once had an appointment on time! Being heavily pregnant and waiting 45 minutes after my original appointment time is just unacceptable.

My family and I use the service reguarly. Every GP we have seen is consistently polite, knowledgeable and demonstrates empathy. I trust diagnosis and feel listened to. Equally the nurse practitioner who sees 0-5 years is brilliant. We can always get an appointment and all receptionist staff are friendly and helpful. The GP on call service is excellent. This is where a GP can call you back the same day. For us it has meant we have not had to attend the surgery at times, for example; when I had to enquiry about a referral for my child to the local acute trust. Five stars from us for the surgery and I highly recommend the service for adults and children. However the only things that let the service down is the onsite pharmacy. In fact only one member of pharmacy staff. This person is consistently very unhelpful and rude. Multiple members of my family have experienced the same issue. Also some toys for young children in the waiting room would be useful given that we reguarly have to attend the “sit and wait clinic”. However these are the only negatives I have which is very good!

Thank you so much for your positive comments. I'm sorry that you have experienced a less than ideal service from our Dispensary. I'm happy for you to contact me directly so that I can identify the issues and resolve them. Unfortunately, due to Infection Control recommendations, practices are advised to no longer provide toys or magazines unless we are able to clinically clean them between each use. As you can imagine, we do not have the resources for this which is why all toys and magazines have been removed. Many thanks once again for taking the time to leave feedback - it's always welcomed as it's a way of us improving. Yvonne Pope - Practice Manager.
