I have had really great luck finding fantastic GP’s until I found this surgery. On each occasion something has gone wrong. It started off menial, the first time the GP told me my prescription would be ready to pick up that afternoon. I went to pick it up 2 days later. It was not done. Second time around i was I was not allowed a repeat prescription of a medication I’d been taking for 8 months and this was because apparently that specific medication could counterract with another medication. This was NEVDR discussed withme during my first mappings Trent face to face with a GP and I found this terribly irritating. Lastly, the worst, I am currently on holiday and I have found I’ve been prescribed the wrong type of medication. Fair play, I should have checked this and I admit fault on my behalf for this. However I was prescribed prolonged release tablets which do NOT work at all for me. One of the reasons for this medication is I suffer from terrible insomnia so having prolonged release is the worst for me. am literally in tears and feel so angry and let down. It’s clear that I I need to find another GP AND FAST.

We have lived in the area for over 13 years and decided to move our family of 6 from our old surgery to PHMC last September. We have been delighted. This is an old-school GP. Located in a Victorian house it is very old fashioned inside and reminded me of my childhood doctor's surgery. The receptionists are a little cold (aren't they all?!) but with continued smiling, good communication is achieved. There is no fancy technology in this surgery, which i liked. And it is quite clear that whoever manages this surgery chooses to spend funds in quality GPs, rapid referrals and excellent support staff. We have only seen two female doctors here - both were fantastic. Referrals to St Marys and a local mental health service came through within days (I was astounded). Test results have been equally fast. What's more the two doctors were gracious and listened so well. The nurse is a real character and very warm - smear test was not an awful experience. And the health care assistant equally great. You do not need fancy interiors - just solid GPs who GENUINELY put patients first. Thank you. A great NHS experience.

I was a patient to this practice long ago, and the receptionists were never really pleasant. I was unwell and I felt patronised. T felt like nothing and powerless. I cried. I was lucky enough to move out the area and change surgery practice. This year I came back around and tried to register they have not changed still rude staff, with no compassion. I tried to register despite filling the form they told me I was not on the system I should call back on come back another day in the morning. My shoulder is killing me so I have decide to go private. I am beyond upset by the lack of professionalism.
