Why is it so hard to actually book an appointment?! I just want to book a non-urgent appointment, but can only ring at 10am, wait in the queue and hopefully get an appointment for the following week, once the slots are gone I have to do the same again tomorrow, and hope for the best. Absolute madness, they seem to forget that people have jobs! Only just moved to this town and surgery, startimg to regret it now!

E consult doent work as missed several calls due to the nature of my work unable to answer phone, given I'm a qualified medical tech, I do know when I need to actually see a doctor, used to be a very good community serving surgery, were no longer getting the service we're paying for, and I really feel for the elderly

I have given up hope with this central surgery, I have lived in the area all my life and it is a hassle to get anything done with them. I never EVER complain but after all the mistakes, organisation concerns and personal experience, I can’t help put my thoughts out here and it’s going to be quite long. The front reception is the first issue you have to deal with, as a student (and I’m sure those who work too have this issue) I am having to somehow be able to have access to call at 10am only to be able to call meaning there is going to be a queue as I’m sure other people are also calling at the same time just get an appointment in a weeks time and if you miss a call due to reasons such as being at work or driving on the road and not being able to speak on the phone as it is a health hazard, you have to call back the next day at 10am once again to mark another appointment. It’s always been a tedious task just to get a repeat prescription that didn’t need any signature only to be turned away or told to make an appointment for, again, the week after. You could be told you’ll be booked with one doctor and then when you go to the appointment you find you were booked with another doctor without being told. When I was younger I came to central surgery with mental health concerns as I didn’t know where else to go, I came out with little advice and a leaflet for group therapy after having explained that my parents don’t speak English, meaning that I had to put strain on myself to translate everything for them. Not only that but I don’t have much privacy to speak to the GP about the concerns I had as my parents were still in the room which made things far more uncomfortable for me than needed as I’m sure any other doctor would have asked the parents to leave the room for a few minutes. As a young person who came to them for help for personal mental health issues and essentially got very little help has made me give up and I am now afraid to call them for any health concerns which could have gotten worse over the years and im sure have, and it’s a shame that I see bad reviews and I know people who’ve had the same experiences and have complained so many times and nothing has really been done about it. I'm from sawbridgeworth and have lived here all my life, so this is the only surgery I have ever dealt with and if I had a choice I would go elsewhere but there isn't anywhere else to go. I am honestly disappointed with experience there, from the rude receptionists to the fact that when I am ILL I can’t go in and get help, I need to call up for an appointment for another day.
