I'm suffering with chronic shoulder pain due to some sort of nerve issue and back pain and it has taken me 2 years to get myself referred to a specialist because actually show that there is actual damage or a major problem with the shoulder due to something going on in the spine and everytime I call for an appointment because of something else or something to do with it I get told they have to call in the morning to get an appointment for the same day and then I go on hold on the phone from 8 in the morning when they open to get an appointment that same day just to be told the doctors fully booked is ridiculous and then they still won't allow me to book an appointment for the following day even though I've been on hold all morning it's impossible to get an appointment and I haven't seen my own doctor in a year maybe two and every other doctor that's been assigned to me disappears within a couple of months no one seems to stay there long because they've got too many patients and unable to treat the mall is absolutely ridiculous that they just don't seem to be able to manage what's going on and when you do see them the doctor doesn't seem to care or doesn't want to help because he's got another patient they just seem to have a get you in and get you out sort of attitude.

Getting through to this surgery is almost impossible. I would be happy to make my appointment with a nurse online but there is no facility. It took two days to get through. The first day there were nine people in front of me every time I called and I called a lot. The second day in the morning that magic number of nine again, later in the afternoon only three people. I decided to hang on. It took twenty minutes. When I made the suggestion about putting the nurse appointments online. I was told they cannot feedback that info and I will need to write in. I questioned this but was repeatedly told to write in. I asked how people with dementia would manage and was told I do not have to answer that question. It is a legitimate question as I work with people who have a Dementia diagnosis. I can only surmise the staff obviously do not speak to each other and cannot ever have any meetings where they talk about the issues. No wonder the contacting the surgery is so difficult.. I find certain staff (nurse) once you actually get an appointment are very professional although my particular GP needs lessons in bedside manner, The only reason I attended the surgery was because they had lost my previous blood results. I was called back in, not advised I would need to fast. Lucky I realised and fasted just in case. That could have been a wasted appointment. Back to people with Dementia are they supposed to remember if the surgery forgets?
