Doctors ant staff nurses are good if you can get an appointment but telephoning for appointments is very frustrating and recent experience of turning up in the morning with a child resulted in no appointment being able to be offered at all in the near future. Receptionist triaged by asking about symptoms before deciding to give appointments so be aware that understating the issue might not be an effective strategy for getting past the front desk. Difficult with children because the best outcome for you is that your visit was unnecessary and the issue resolves itself but sometimes you just need to check anyway. Maybe I’m wrong but I feel that they must be so oversubscribed that it’s only the place to go if you feel you desperately need a hospital referral rather than are unsure about something and would like to seek medical advice. Might hunt around and seek an alternative which is a little less pressured ( if there is one)
