Absolutely ridiculous. I booked an emergency appointment through 111. The dentist prescribed me antibiotics, i did not get a filling or the tooth removed, eveb though i asked for that treatment as i was in extreme pain. I was told to see my registered dentist, which actually defeats tge objective of emegency treatment as my registered dentists waiting lists are ridiculously long, 2-3 months on average. So what is the point of the nhs having an emergency treatment service when you cant meet the needs of taxpayers. It is hard for people on a low income to get private treatment as prices run up into the hundreds of pounds, so we are forced into making a decision of either feeding ourselves and family or receiving treatment. So know im left in severe pain waiting for 3 months to see a dentist. Thank you for nothing nhs for your service to hard earning taxpayer's.
