emergency 111 appointment, the dentist seemed really nice but treatment went horribly wrong. She told me I would have to have a tooth taken out because of covid restrictions she could not give me the treatment I needed to save the tooth. The pain relief did not work, my face swelled up in lumps, the pain was agony. She was unable to extract the tooth but broke it. I am now waiting for referral to hospital for dental surgery. The dentist told me I had gum disease and gave me antibiotics. I have now seen a private dentist who tells me I do not have gum disease and the experience I had was appalling. | |||||||

I had recently been troubled with a swelling of my face which I thought was an abscess. I visited an emergency dentist and was given antibiotics which did not fully clear the problem. I again sought some advice / treatment of a dentist and having had 24 hours of setbacks via my doctor and through 111 I eventually received an appointment with the practice. The lady that I saw on 6th August was exceptionally good, made me feel at ease and explained what she was doing and what was going on. She gave me some more antibiotics and gave me further advice for going forward with a view to seeing a dentist of my own. At present I am not registered with a dentist and if the lady in questions has vacancies on her list I would be more than happy to register with her if that is a possibility. | |||||||
