The treatment I received in 2017 at Hencotes was the best I have ever had. I've lived in more than 37 homes all over the country, and so have had a fair number of dentists. I knocked my front teeth out at the age of 9, when my bogie ran into a car and I flew into the air, landing on my teeth. I've had a top set of dentures since I was a teenager and I'm now 70. I've had more dental appointments than I could ever imagine anyone ever having since I've eaten vast amounts of sweets in my life. I once had 33 fillings from one dentist alone which meant 33+ visits. I lost all fear of dentists before I turned 21, as far as I'm concerned they can just do what they want and I'll put my mind above the pain. I've had some awful dentures in my time and I didn't come with very high expectations. However I got a gem of a dentist. She was not only really friendly and enthusiastic, she went not only the 2nd mile she went the 3rd and 4th as well. Nobody has ever put as much care and effort into getting my teeth right as she did. The dentist worked through every problem and surmounted all difficulties and made the best set of dentures I've ever had. She even dug out a piece of tooth about the size of a rice crispy from my upper gums that will have been there since the 60s. She was the only one that noticed or cared The dentures are fantastic, but it was the dentist herself that made it all so magical. I've known for such along time now that nobody cares that much about anyone but themselves, but not her, she made me feel more special than any other workman I have ever known. I would say though that the reception staff were excellent and all my appointments were on time. For my part I had a lot of fun during my visits and I looked forward to all of them | |||||||

I visited the practice as usual, in good time for my appointment.
I have never been seen on time, but today was unacceptable.
I sat waiting in the reception area, where I was steadily ignored for the 25 minutes I waited.
The 25 minute conversation between the receptionists I endured, while informative on the subject of current tv shows, was not helpful. No effort was made to inform me of the delay. I was simply ignored until I left.
After this 25 minutes, I had to leave for another appointment, therefore I wasted my morning.
I was polite while rebooking, yet was met only with a sulky acceptance, no thanks, no apologies and not even a goodbye in response to my own "thank you". (Not allowing my standards of politeness to descend to those I experienced here.)
It is clear that staff were amazed that I had the temerity not to suffer and wait in silence.
This attitude only ever comes from the top, otherwise it would not be tolerated toward clients.
Disgraceful attitude and service toward paying customers!!!!!!!!!!!

I have fairly recently joined the practice, but have found my dentist to be extremely straight forward and I have a huge amount of respect for the way they have handled my son and me. I immediately felt very confident with their knowledge and ability and that has been borne out in the treatment I have received. | |||||||
