I'm really phobic of the dentist. I had a bad experience as a kid. It's taken me 18 years to go back. I rang to make my appointment and reception where really nice.
When I arrived I was very nervous and I dreaded having to wait. The nurse came to collect me and take me to the surgery so I didn't have much time to get worked up.
The dentist was so friendly. She made me think it was possible to fix my teeth. (I presumed they would all have to come out!).
I have been back for 2 more appointments. Each time the dentist didn't put any pressure on and amazingly I've managed to have some teeth out and have agreed to some fillings.
For the first time in a long while I don't have sharp broken teeth. The biggest positive has been overcoming my fear.

Initially was told we could have an appointment for check-up (as new patient) after 4 weeks. 2 weeks later we received a phone call saying they had messed up a dentist's start date and we would have to wait an additional 3 weeks.
Hopefully their dentistry will be better than their organisation. | |||||||
