I phoned the dentist last Friday to get an appointment as I was dealing with tooth pain, the receptionist got me straight in the same day and the dentist very kindly taken the tooth out! Couldn't thank them enough for getting rid of my pain! Would recommend this practice to anyone.

Went for a check as my filling fell out and I had pain. Was given an appointment for treatment in 7 days following check. Treatment was cancelled on the day when the dentist called in sick. The surgery claim they tried to contact me but I received no communication and turned up to my appointment. The receptionist informed me the dentist only works on Thursday. As I was working the following Thursday, the earliest I could take was 2 weeks. I explained I could not wait that long as my sensitivity and pain when eating was too much. The receptionist gave me a list of other dentists explaining they offered same day treatments. I asked whether any of those dentists would be able to see my medical record and she explained no. I ultimately went to another local dentist and they treated me in a few days. They did a check and treatment on the same day. The dentist explained it was a low prognosis filling as quite frankly my tooth is finished. I had impacted wisdom teeth for 10 years. One side was patched over and over with fillings along the years as I was constantly told by another dentist/surgery, wisdom teeth do not need to come out unless absolutely necessary. Mine were in far too long and one of back teeth has suffered unrepairable damage. About a week after treatment I still felt pain in my upper teeth. As I still had my Thursday appointment booked at this surgery I thought it might still be ok to attend but I wasn't sure so called them first. The receptionist did not know and so gave the call to what was most likely the manager. I do not like the way she spoke to me or what she said and as I result I will never return here. She stated waiting 2 further weeks for my treatment would have made no difference. Excuse me, I had a mega hole and throbbing in my head so yes, being cancelled at the last minute and referred for 2 weeks is a big deal and would have made a massive difference. She stated something about the NHS doesn't allow. If a dentist has 100 patients then suddenly leaves are those patients then not treatable? If the dentist does not want to treat me now just say so. It's fine and is why I called to check. Don't make it seem that I have done something wrong by going somewhere else. Your surgery is unreliable and you are rude.
