As a patient of this practice for the last 7 years, I turned up today for my appointment, only to be told by a receptionist that I cancelled my appointment by phone two days earlier. This came as a complete surprise to myself, as I never phoned the practice to cancel my appointment. I explained to the receptionist that I booked today off work, so why would I cancel? I went as far as to show them my phone, and the calls I made that day I supposedly rang to cancel. I keep a diary, so if I cancel anything, I write it in the diary immediately. ‘You can always book another appointment’ was the response. My response.....as a private patient, I’ll always be welcome at another practice, and that’s exactly what I intend to do.
