Over the last few years I have had to attend an appointment at this Drakes branch. The 1st appointment wasn't a good 1. with the main dentist not coming across with the qualities you would expect from a health care professional. I required a permanent filling, I have recently had it removed by Barbara Castle Way (who I would highly recommend for emergency treatment) due to tooth ache, infection, require root canal. The treatment carried out at the time was not fit for purpose. The second appointment some time later at this practice was a lot better. with a different main dentist (who no longer works at this practice). very helpful, gave advice, took his time, gave free sensodyne samples, gave me the free teeth clean (at the time) offered to remove the filling done previously and replace it at no further cost. (unfortunately I didn't opt to have it replaced at the time due to time restraints, I should have. I regret it now. maybe offered to me because previous filling had issues. wasn't done properly. most of my tooth had been filled with the metal filling. to my knowledge I thought only a small filling was required. and lastly the 3rd appointment some time later was with two relatively new inexperienced Dentist and assistant. Dentist whizzed round my teeth in literally 2 minutes and basically said right this is the potential damage, this is the cost. then put pressure on me to pay now. I decided to ask for the results instead and take them to get a second opinion. To this both staff showed a very unprofessional attitude. wrote down my brief result on a piece of paper and handed it to me. NO CLEAN. No Dental printout. Nothing. Just took my band 1 charge. and Byebye. After I found out that that particular good dentist had left I decided to leave too. Not gone back to this practice since. and former customers around the same area could agree more.
