There is no direct parking, you have to wait up to 40 minutes to be seen, a check can last only 1 minute and worse Hygeniest experience for myself but my other half thinks it’s ok. Have changed dentists since. Positive is i I had good white fillings done.

I have been attending this dentist for 3 years & visited both the dentist & hygienist 6 monthly. The hygienist missed a "pocket" which was picked up by a private hygienist, leading to extra painful gum cleaning & additional costs. The dentists change regularly & there has been a lack of continuity. I was told at my last appointment that i need to have a tooth removed very soon & told that i couldnt have a bridge as the gap left was too big. My only option was 3 or 4 inplants, at a cost i cannot afford. I obtained a 2nd opinion from another NHS dentist who told me although a big gap, a bridge would work. At my appointment today, i was told that a bridge would only last a few years, thats ok by me as i might be in a better financial situation in a few years. To which my dentist said they dont carry out this service at this dentist! I dont believe they have given me the best advice or care as a patient, purely advice based on financial reasons as i understand the full costs are not covered by the NHS and there is some cost to the practice, as well as costing me around £270 band 3 charges. There is a medical/ clinical need to have a tooth extracted and replaced and my choice is a bridge. If you are an NHS dentist, then surely you should offer all NHS services, not picking and choosing those that are more profitable to you. I am very unhappy about the care i have received and am still waiting for a response from the practice manager regarding this.

This practice seems to me to be more interested in the commercial aspects of the business rather than in giving due care and attention to the patient's needs. On my last visit before the examination had even begun an attempt was made to sell me an expensive treatment which was "on special offer". X-rays were then taken without proffering any explanation as to why they were necessary or asking me whether I wanted them. An extremely cursory inspection of my teeth followed. Following this, because I have four teeth missing, I was asked if I would like to have dentures. There was no examination of my gums and no cleaning or polishing was offered. When I asked for the latter I was advised to check in to the Oral Hygienist - this would of course cost money. However, it was required because of plaque build up and the cost of this treatment is covered by the first level of NHS charges. I would not recommend this dental practice.
