Good standard of service and short waiting time. Everything was explained to me very clearly.

My regular dentist had a wait time of 9 days so in desperation I asked colleagues for a recommendation near the office, and two suggested Alba. I was lucky because there had been a cancellation and they were able to see me on the same day. The tooth was X-rayed and revealed an infection near the root. The dentist spent 20 minutes cleaning and treating the exterior of the tooth and prescribed painkillers and antibiotics., they also took time to demonstrate the best way to clean molars effectively. The antibiotics took 4 days to start working, during which time the pain was unbearable (even with painkillers round the clock) so I am beyond relieved I was able to be seen then. Had the antibiotics not worked I'd have been referred to a dental surgeon for an extraction. For an emergency consultation I was charged the NHS rate of £20.60 - very reasonable for what was truly an emergency!
